Over the weekend I headed to explore more of the south downs which are now covered in sheep and their newborn lambs. Although I consider myself more of a travel/street photographer I enjoy pushing myself out of my photographic comfort zone and capturing some landscapes.
Making the most of a bank holiday weekend day here in England I headed to Arlington Reservoir. It has a beautiful walk around the reservoir which takes you through the country side which takes around an hour.
After a week of editing and developing projects I needed a a couple of days outside exploring and getting lost. After an hour or two we found this is a beautiful forest in Sussex located in a valley.
Next on my exploration list was Newhaven Nature Reserve. The reserve itself was calm and beautiful despite being in such an industrial area. But it was behind the nature reserve that I found the site I wanted to focus my photography on for the day. An abandoned construction site. This included an unfinished roundabout with 3 roads leading nowhere and an old shopping trolley..
Recently I went on a easter walk along the south downs from Falmer to Lewes and of course, weighed myself down with 3 different cameras..:
I am also coming to the end of my time at university, but before I enter the ‘real world’ I’m participating in our degree show, Heres a taster video I created:
Stills from yesterdays shooting of a short piece incorporating cinemagraphs and tilt shift photography:
