Reservoir Views

Making the most of a bank holiday weekend day here in England I headed to Arlington Reservoir. It has a beautiful walk around the reservoir which takes you through the country side which takes around an hour.

Sneak Peek! My debut zine

Slowly but surely I have been building my first zine, street photography captured around the streets of Southern England.  The layout is slowly coming together and soon the focus will be on publishing.  Below is a sneak peek into the DIY bedroom aesthetic  I have been working with and some of the image pairings. I have…

72 Hours in London

I recently spent 72 hours in London seeing as many exhibitions and locations as possible. I hope you enjoy.. 72 Hours In London  The first place we visited was the Barbican. One of my favourite places in London. It’s a mix of brutalist architecture, flowers and world class exhibition spaces. I was there to see Richard…

Shooting in Golden Hour

If your looking to improve your photography utilising the golden hour is a must. This is considered the hour (or two) after sunrise and before sunset. Midday-sun creates strong contrasts and often over saturated images. Whereas the golden hour provides much softer colours. While visiting my family for Easter I went for a walk around…

Traveling LIGHT Photo Series

It’s near impossible to walk around a major city without getting whacked by a bag or two. I’m guilty of it as well, I rarely leave the house with out a backpack full of cameras  (and snacks). While shooting around London I decided to document the bags of choice for those facing the capitals busy…

People of London

I am very excited to be working on my debut zine featuring street photography I have shot over the last year. In preparation here are a few shots I have taken around the streets of London.  I will be posting updates on my zine on here and over on Instagram @madisonbeachphotos. In the meantime thank…

Combining Travelling with Creativity

Over the last year I have been lucky enough to experience many new cultures which I have always wanted to capture.  But it’s not always been easy juggling photography, filmmaking and experiencing a place for the first time.  I have written an article for a great new magazine, 99% Lifestyle, which is available to read…

Phone Photography

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of phone photography, ok not quite phone photography. I’ve been drawn to the amount of people using their phones and the situations they find themselves in. I took all these photos in London within 24 hours. Catch me on Instagram or over on my website.

Portraits & Places//35mm

Knowing what I shot I’ve been really excited to collect my film from the lab. Previously I haven’t shot many portraits but recently I’ve found myself looking for good portrait opportunities when I’ve been out and about.  I’m really pleased with the outcome, the Portra film and 50mm Lens on the Pentax K1000 really comes into their own when…

Watching the Brighton Marathon

Seen by many as a warm-up for the London marathon in a couple of weeks the Brighton Seafront-based marathon provides a great day out. Thousands of runners made the journey along with spectators from all four corners of the U.K. As a failed runner (it’s just not for me) I was more than happy to…

Grabbing food at Camden Market

Camden has always been a tourist favourite but now the food is drawing the Londoners in. Every kind of food you can imagine is on offer here; pizza, thai, vegetarian, wraps, chips, the list is never-ending. I took a day to consume the delights on offer and photograph those enjoying it. Catch me on Instagram to see more…

Photographing Planes (it’s cooler than you think)

Admittedly I was a bit skeptical when a friend told me he heads to West London most weekends to plane spot. But with a free day I decided to splash £1.50 on the bus and head to Hatton Cross Station (apparently the place to be).  The suburban area was littered with green spaces, many filled…
